TMS320F280048-Q1: Difference between TMS320F28004x controllers

Part Number: TMS320F280048-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F280049

Hello,

can you tell me what kind of differences there are between TMS320F280048 and TMS320F280049? Is it correct, that the RAM of the first one uses 8-bit blocks and the other one's 16-bit blocks? I found this info on Digikey, but not in the datasheet.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Kristof

Looking at Table 5-1. Device Comparison in the TMS320F28004x Microcontrollers datasheet the only difference appears to be:

    • The TMS320F280048 is only available in the 64-pin PM package (for AEC Q100 qualification)
    • The TMS320F280049 is available in the 100-pin PZ, 64-pin PM and 56-pin RSH packages. AEC Q100 qualification only available for the PZ package.

Where the number of available GPIO pins, AIO inputs, ADC channels, CMPSS, PGAs, eQEP modules – Type 1 and SDFM channels – Type 1 varies according to the package.

No, all C2000 devices have 16-bit addressable memory.
