Overcurrent trip is decided based on OC_ADJ_SET / MOSFET RDS(on). we are using a 750W 48V BLDC motor which has a rated current of 15A.

In our design,

MOSFET RDS = 0.0039ohm.

How we should decide the OC_ADJ_SET value.

For our design Vds should be 0.076V but when we set this voltage value in DRV8301 register the motor is not able to run.

When we set the voltage to 0.454V the motor starts to work. But the IOC value is 116A but motor rated current is 20A.

What causes the motor not to run at Vds 0.076V.

You should calculate this threshold value with the peak current with at least 50% of the margin.
