TMS320F28335: Pipelining of the TMS320F28335 and the exact timings of the interaction with the float coprocessor

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to know the difference between the letter C and F in TMS320C28335 and TMS320F28335. Upon searching the forum I found the link below which states that there is no device as the TMS320C28335.

He is also is looking for some information on the pipelining of the TMS320F28335 and the exact timings of the interaction with the float coprocessor. Do we have any documents or information about his inquiry.

The character you've highlighted indicates if the device is standard CMOS(C) or Flash CMOS(F). C devices do not have flash memory. As such there is not necessarily a C equivalent device to all the F devices. So in this case there is no non-flash version of the F2833x family of devices.

The closest RAM only device to this is the TMS320C28346, however, this device does not have the 12-bit ADC in addition to no flash memory.

I would recommend this application note for more details on the FPU and its interaction with the C28x pipeline.
