I have a similar case of this error here

I developed the project from Lab13 into a custom application that works on EVAL board LauchXL-F28069M with BOOSTXL-DRV8305 the code complies okay via XDS100 onboard. I then build the custom board, updated the FW to match the change of GPIO layout then updated the properties to match XDS200 external device. I note I had to update both boxes in the variants in order to get XDS200 connection list and it spew out error which I not familiar.

I have no clue how to resolve this error. The C2000 library is up to date.

Found RTS2800_ml_eabi.lib in linker include a library, deleted that and put back libc.a (compared to other custom code that works on XDS200 and earlier custom board, before the FW is upgraded to the application level.

Found that switch to softlib from fpu32 in compiler build and it complies okay, no error.

Switch back to fpu32 and it generates the above error.

What needs to be done right in order to use fpu32?, I have to make sure there no rts2800 in setting elsewhere, right?

I tend to think the error nature is not the same as the previous forum.

I don't think the issue is related to the emulator, you might check if you change the project properties like compiler versions, processor options. and you should use the softlib, not the fpu32 for lab13a/b.

You might have a comparison with the orginal example lab in motorWare.

with softlib, how does float or double is calculated by the soft library (emulation) or FPU?

It will call the related functions in RTS2800_xx.lib.
