TMDSHVMTRINSPIN: Enabling PFC-Boost micro block

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

We recently purchased the above kit, it came with F2806xM isolated daugther card. I am going to power the kit with 110V AC using the 3-pin 85-132 VAC socket. Is the PFC-Booster block enabled by default? If I connect BS-1 -BS-3 and BS-4 -BS-5 as mentioned in the Hardware manual, would it supply 400 V DC to the invertor. I need to drive a 3 phase 230V ACIM.

Could not find any example code or GUI option.

  • No. The PFC is controlled by the C2000 controllers, you need to ass the related PFC algorithm code in your project to enable and implement the PFC.

No. As mentioned above, the PFC is disabled by default and there is no dedicated PFC code in motorWare, so the DC bus voltage should be equal to input Vac*SQRT(2).
