Part Number: DRV8301-69M-KIT

Hi,

I am waiting for the MotorSDK which is supposed to be launched by month end.

Will MotorSDK support F28069M also? OR it will just support F280049?

I have a DRV8301 kit. I am wondering if TI will be providing control card for F280049 compatible with DRV8301 kit.

Basically, which of the following combination I will be able to use:

1. DRV8301 kit + F28069M + MotorSDK

2. DRV8301 kit + F280049 + MotorSDK

3. A new kit + F280049 + MotorSDK (in case if TI is planning a new kit for F280049 controllers).

  • No, Motor Control SDK for instaSPIN-FOC just supports F28004xC floating-point devices now.
    Option 2 is supported by MC-SDK (DRV8301-HC-C2K_Kit + F280049C ControlCard)

MC-SDK will provide example lab projects supporting below 3 kits, but it should be easy to migrate to any new board with F28004x controller based on the guidelines.
    1. DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT + TMDSCNCD280049C
    2. TMDSHVMTRINSPIN + TMDSCNCD280049C
    3. BOOSTXL-DRV8320RS + LAUNCHXL-F280049C

    Hi Yanming,

Thanks for your suggestions. I have a couple of more doubts.

    1. Is DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT same as DRV8301-69M-KIT?
    2. The control card in www.ti.com/.../TMDSCNCD280049C seems to be of different size than www.ti.com/.../TMDSCNCD28069mISO. Will it fit in DRV8301-69M-KIT?
  • In reply to Rushi Jariwala:

    1. The power inverter board is the same, just bundled different controlCard.
    2. Sorry, you must have an additional 180 to 100 Pin DIMM Adapter (TMDSADAP180TO10).
