We have developed our own compatible driver but it has russian documentation. The key features are:
2 CAN interfaces supported with 2 different object dictionaries;
OD generation tool with MySQL DB common for all projects in the company.
TMS320x24xx (Asm) and TMS320x28xxx (C) support.
Binary, Enum, IQ and fixed point data types support.
4 PDO with 4 entries. 1 SDO. Heartbeat.
Let me know if you interested. But this is not free of charge because of years of work for our programmers.
Hi,
the link http://www.simmasoftware.com/ seems to not work, is it correct?
There on TI site (or another site) same example on how to start to use CAN bus for free?
Thank you,
Alex
looks like their server is down. it should be up later. they have the best, smallest, lowest cost solution on the market.
there are some CAN loopback examples in controlSUITE.
Hi,
I am looking for a CANopen library, too. For the same processor, too.
Have you find something intersting in these days? do you looking for a free of charge library or for a free library?
Please, alert me if you find something of usefull, I'll do the same!!!
good luck,
Alex.
Thanks,
I'll try later...
They have solution specific for C2000 controllers?
Alex.
Their site is up (I heard they had a bad storm last night)
YES - they certainly do have C2000 specific drivers and stack support. VERY reasonable costs, many of our customers worldwide are using them. Highly recommended
Chris:
I am also looking for code and a CanOpen stack specific to the F28335. I have done some very preliminary work getting two Peripheral explorer boards to communicate with CAN, but believe that there is no reason to re-invent all the code necessary for making the code production ready, then doing the same for the CanOpen protocol stack.
I have previously been to the Simmasoftware site, and they sound reasonable, but thought I should have at least one other vendor to compare them with.
So I am asking you (and anyone else at TI for recommendations on vendors for quality code and CanOpen protocol stack already ported to the F28335 chip.
