Error connecting target 2131@ 0x00 Unable to access device register

Suresh, did you check the voltage levels on the non-connectable board? Also check if any of the components on the board are overheating esp. MCU or LDO....

If the voltage levels on the board also seem fine then:

Please download FTCLEAN to clean all the FTDI drivers from the PC. The PC may have several version FTDI drivers as on my PC.

 After cleaning, please re-install the FTDI driver ie driver required for your emulator.

yes gautham I have cleaned the ftdi driver and now I get different error

IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -151 @ 0x0) One of the FTDI driver functions used during the connect returned bad status or an error. The cause may one or more of: invalid emulator serial number, blank emulator EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable. Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif' folder to verify the emulator can be located. (Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

What does your Device Manager indicate? Any yellow alert symbol on XDS100 device?

           I don't see the other devices under device manger , but I am still able to run on the other board using the same cables. Even I tried with a new F28M36x board , the problem is same .

Suresh, another thing you can do is, you can install CCS Uniflash and check with the response. If Uniflash too doesn't work, then please uninstall the XDS100 drivers from device manager.

Thank you Gatham , I could successfully flash once I uninstalled and reinstalled the device drivers. But in the debug mode I get some extra icons in debug menu something like Non Debuggable Devices.
