USB communication PFC Bridgeless Development kit

I have just received a PFC Bridgeless Development kit.  The USB port will not communicate with the CC2803 board.  The processor L1 lights, L3 blinks

Switch 1 is toward Blue Caps

Jumpers are installed J3,J4,J5, J7-2a, J8.

Processor board, S1 = ON

S2, 1=ON, 2=ON

PC baud rate set at 57600, using COM5, PC finds COM5

Process:

Start GUI

Go to setup connection

Uncheck Boot on Connect

Select COM5, verify baud rate 57600

Click OK

Go to main screen

Click connect

NADA- Red Box, Could Not Connect:  Please Check Connections

Any Ideas?

  • Hi Robert,

What does your computer's Device Manager say? Does it identify the kit or in other words, are the drivers installed properly? Check whether there are no yellow alert symbols besides the board's driver in Device Manager.

  • I found the problem.  The USB cable supplied with the kit is a standard size and connects to the USB port on the side of the KIT.  To make the unit connect to the computer the USB cable needs to be a mini, and must connect to the processor board.
