Microcontroller Selection for BLDC motor control

Dear all,

I am developing movie camera steblizar (Gimbal), i have to control 3 to 4 BLDC motors(40 to 70 Nm torque and 24V DC).

kindly suggest which series Micro controller are most suitable for this application and any drive system available ?

    There isn't any hardware that will control 3-4 BLDC motors from a single device. Our highest end Delfino device TMS320F28377D is used in multi-axis servo applications, but these companies are providing their own software and control system expertise.

    Also, these higher end servo systems typically use very high end encoder systems. Most of the Gimbal's I've seen just use very low end hall sensors for rough positioning. It's not something we tend to focus on, so there aren't any good software examples to start from unfortunately.

    To control 1 motor, a good place to start would be BOOSTXL-DRV8301 + LAUNCHXL-F28027F
    The software included here is just sensorless torque or velocity control. We don't include Hall based sensor feedback, but you can add it yourself if skilled.

    We have a new LaunchPad releasing this month which will also allow you to do Position control with Encoder feedback, but again, no Halls.
