Serial_flash_programmer issue with F28377D

Hi,

I am using the example from ti\controlSUITE\device_support\~Utilities\serial_flash_programmer. I got the following error message after loading blinky_cpu01.txt with serial_flash_programmer.exe .

ERROR header 16

ERROR with Packet Command!

ERROR Status: Not Recognized Error

Error Address: eeof3a

The error address changed each time. Reducing SCI speed couldn't fix it. Does anyone knows what could cause this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi Xiaowei,

We have a fix for this in the next controlSUITE release which will be in a couple weeks. We made some enhancements to the the flash kernels and were unable to push the changes for the serial_flash_programmer.

Which SCI_Boot mode are you using? Which GPIOs?

You can do two things either:

1) Use version 140 of the flash kernels with the serial_flash_programmer OR

2) Use version 150 of the flash kernels with the attached serial_flash_programmer.

Thanks for your reply.

I just tested that new attached serial_flash_programmer. It works for me. I use the default GPIOs (GPIO84 and GPIO85).
