Synchronizing DSPs-28335

I need to synchronize 2 DSPs such that they operate exactly in a similar fashion ( initial delay is acceptable ). These DSPs have to drive 2 inverters which is feeding a motor. The operation of the 2 DSPs are similar. Each DSP will have an internal signal based on which it has to operate. probably timer synchronisation through interrupts is what I am looking for

How much delay can be acceptable? Coz you're power supply can drive both of them simultaneously with very marginal delay....no syncing required.

Please provide us with some more data.

Viju,

Using (1) of the (3) CPU Timers is a good choice, then toggle a GPIO to the other DSP to act as a sync pulse. If a sync pulse comes in before the local clock reaches the next interval then the other DSP is the lead clock and the local clock can be adjusted to match the other DSP. You can set the periodic rate to meet your timing requirements. Consider using (1) of the (3) XINTs for the sync pulse edge detection.

I need to synchronise the timers in 2 dsp for a particular application. I will increase the DC link only after the two dsps are synchronised so initial delay is not a concern.
