How the DAC of F28377S works?

I would like to know if the implementation of DAC of F28377S is by:

PWM and low pass filter
Resistive nets

I get confused since I saw that image with a low pass filter connected to the DAC (That has no sense for me).

Hi David,

The DACs in the picture above (DAC1-4) are implemented with PWM and LPF. However, the F28377S also has three general purpose internal DACs (DACA-C) that you can also use.

Hi David,

The implementation of these DACs is by PWM + low pass filter. The following application note describes the idea:

Please note that there are 3 true 12-bit DACs on this F28377S device. As a result, in your application you may not need to resort to PWM-DACs. Pin-wise these DACs are located at the same pins as ADC-A0, A1 and B1.
