The error message is shown below. It occurs whenever I attempt to debug the code, immediately after the build completes. I have tried several projects, including blinky and the gpio samples, always with the same result.

Error connecting to the target.

(Error -600 @ 0x0)

A required dynamic library could not be located

The library isn't on the search path.

(Emulation package 6.0.407.6)

I have tried uninstalling CCS and then reinstalling, adding paths to the environment value, etc. I am not sure what to try next.

Can you list the directories where CCS and controlSuite are installed?

Hi Gautam,

CCS is installed at: C:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse
ControlSuite is installed at: C:\ti\controlSUITE

Should the controlSUITE diresctory or its children be in the path?

I should also mention that I am running Windows 7 SP1 on a 64-bit computer.

Hi Paul,

You may want to take a look at the following wiki section:

Make sure that you install CCS with Admin privileges. It's also a good idea to ensure that the "TI Emulators" subcomponent of CCS is up-to-date.

Hi Brett,

I do have admin rights on my PC. This morning I finished uninstalling both CCS and controlSuite, then deleting any remaining traces I could find. Following that I reinstalled both and installed the updates for each.

Then I created a new sample project following the instructions on pages 11-19 of Firmware Development Package User's Guide - F2807x-FRM-EX-UG.pdf. The new project builds correctly but generates the same error (-600) as previously when I try to run it.

My next experiment will be to install on a machine that has never had CCS or controlSUITE installed on it.

Do you, or anyone else, have better suggestions for how to get around this problem?

Hi Paul,

Two comments:
1) Make sure that two USB cables are plugged in. One to power/control the JTAG emulator (A:J1). And one to the Docking Station (J17) to power the MCU. If both are connected correctly two LEDs on the controlCARD will become lit: A:D2 and LD1.

2) If the above is done, please try to run the .bat file within the zip file at the attached link. This will program the on-card emulator so that it looks like an xds100v2 to Windows.

Hi Brett,

The cable are properly connected, but with either cable plugged in LD1, LD2, and LD3 light and A:D2 does not light even if both cables are plugged in. I will try running the batch file, but I probably won't have a chance until tomorrow morning.

Hi Paul,

A:D2 should become lit when power is provided to A:J1 via a USB-mini cable.
\controlSUITE\development_kits\~controlCARDs\TMDSCNCD28075_v1_2\

Have you been able to successfully use this kit at some point in the past, or have you never been able to connect to it?

Hi Brett,

I successfully used the kit for a few days before this problem occurred. Being new to both the kit and CCS I assumed that the problem was a software problem. Your last email made me think it could be hardware. So I unplugged everything and removed the card from the base board. Then I reconnected everything and now it is working.
