FatFs for C2000 Piccolo

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

C2000 team,

Do we have any more recent implantation of FAT FS on a SPI SD Card like the elm-chan implementation.

http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.html

I see this older thread on the topic.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/p/137077/494205#494205

There’s a zip file at that e2e link that includes a port to C2000. This might be sufficient, but it would be very helpful to know if this code has been tested.

I have looked at the spraao7 app note for SD card access, which is useful but does not include FAT.

Thanks,

Darren

  • Darren,

We have ported the Elm-chan FatFS drivers to work on the C2000 SPI. We do not at this time have a full blown example for the FatFS file system. These files are located in controlSUITE: C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\f2806x\v151\MWare\third_party\fatfs.

You can look at the F2837x example: C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\F2837xS\v191\F2837xS_examples_Cpu1\sd_card for reference to build off of.

There have been multiple posts on this subject here in the forums with users requesting support. Let us know if you have any more questions.
