TMS320F28035: F28035 hysteresis current control

Part Number: TMS320F28035
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28075

Dear All,

I am currently working on a hysteresis current controlled DC/DC converter. Since the system should be very fast, I thought that using analog comparator can meet my speed requirement. I can turn the switches off when the current is greater than my reference. Also the switches are turned on under the reference. However I could not figure out how to combine those two configuration. I am not sure if I can assign two different cases to output of the comparator.

I would be appriciated if someone help me.

Thank you

Regards.

  • Merih,

You might be able to use the EPWMs in combination with the comparators to achieve this.

For example, you can program the EPWM to turn on the switch at the beginning of each period and to turn off the switch when a trip signal is received.  The comparator can be configured to provide this trip signal when the current is greater than your reference.

If you have a particular application in mind, you might be able to find an app note on the TI website with specific guidance.

  • Hi,
    1) You can just configure the output of compactor which is present in the device.
    2) If you want to make the peak current mode control you can try this demo which is given in technical reference manual,
I could find it out in for TMS320F28075 in SPRUHM9B section 13.13.10.

  • Hi

Thank you for your response. I could not make it with one comparator but it is solved by using two comparator easily. Thank you again.
