TMS320F28069: SCIB frame error

Part Number: TMS320F28069

As above block diagram. PC communicate with A at 115200 baud rate. The B is working on monitor mode, we catch there are a lot of SCIFFFE error remind on B. What's the SCIFFFE meaning?

We can catch the error on B when it has RS485 tx/rx switch. it hasn't this error if PC and A are working at one way tx or rx.

Is there any explain on frame error? Does it means there are wrong bit received in bits 7-0?

Daniel,

this error usually means that a start bit or stop bit time was too short.

How much time is given between when the PC ends transmission, and when SCIA begins transmission? My idea is you are not leaving enough time when switching between RX and TX, violating the stop bit's bit timing. SCIA may not show this problem because you are isolating it's RX line before you begin you next transmission.

Hi Cody,

The problem is closed now after enable GPIO qualification samples to 6, as well as extend sampling window time.

The packet error rate is below than 0.1‰ now. Thanks for your attention.
