CCS/TIDA-00285: DRV8301

Part Number: TIDA-00285

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

We're spinning a new version of the TIDA-00285.

We're having issues when trying to perform the motor detection.

Ideally we would like some code to run a open loop space vector modulation output to make sure all the hardware is performing as it should and be able to take output measurements from the INA181. Currently the labs require some parameters to be set so that the back emf can be read. Since the motor parameters are unknown these readings are incorrect and hence we are never able to run closed loop.

Running lab 2b, the motor spins and we get some values for inductance, phase and voltage offsets. When these are set in the user.h file and lab 5b or lab 9 the motor does not spin and either an incorrect speed is reported (motor is out of sync so it wont spin) or the software trows back errors and doesn't run.

Any suggestions? I've been for a while trying to setup a webex with someone from the instaspin team that would be able to get the code running without success. Alternatively we could post our EVM - Currently we have no idea how the tests or the tuning on the original TIDA-00285 were performed and would appreciate any advice.

Here's a screenshot after running lab 2b. - RS seems to be wrong, the stator windings should measure an impedance in the milli ohm region.
