LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Problems with setup of external mode in Simulink

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Hi all!

I am posting into this forum and not into the MathWorks forums because I think my problem is a hardware or dirver issue.
I want to read the values measured by an ADC pin of my F28069M with a scope in Simulink, so that I can see the values "live" in the Simulink scope. On the internet I read that I need to activate the external mode for this purpose. The setup instructions are here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/supportpkg/texasinstrumentsc2000/ug/external-mode.html
But when I connect the LaunchPad to my laptop and go to the device manager (Windows 10), the entry "Ports (COM & LPT)" does not show up. Do I have to install some additional drivers to access this COM port?
The category "USB controllers" is fine, there I can see the entries "TI XDS100 Channel A" and "Channel B", only the COM port is missing.
Does anybody know a solution for this problem?

Best regards,
Armin
