I ordered a tmdsdock2808 (digikey 296-23543-ND). It looked good on paper! Nice
price and it came with a CD bearing CCS7.

But, there does not seem to be a simple project in controlSUITE for the F2808.
I would appreciate it if anyone could point me to a working CCS7 project for
the tmdsdock2808.

Hi Mike,

While the F2808 isn't extremely old, it is also not all that new. When controlSUITE released in the late 200*s, we didn't pull the F2808 (the F280x family) into it.

For F280x devices, you'll need to download and install the "C280x, C2801x C/C++ Header Files and Peripheral Examples" from the below:
http://www.ti.com/product/TMS320F2808/toolssoftware

Once installed, you'll find a number of peripheral examples to get started on.

Another resource might be the following workshops. The lab exercises won't work with your board, but the content/presentations may help you get started:
