Hello,
Hope you are doing well.
1. We visited one of our customers today and found out that they are encountered with some issues with our C2000. Please find below the SDFM (Sigma Delta Filter Module) issue that they see during EFT test (they are using our AMC1306 isolated modulator): The DATA register is actually affected by the CLK interrupt (that is caused by that noise that they are injecting into the power supply - 2000V pulses, 300msec, 5KHz, 15msec between pulses). What they see is that while the CLK is interrupted they get invalid data in the Data register (value of more than the maximum allowed by the datasheet – which is higher than 256^3 = 16,777,215). One example of wrong data - Let’s say that they had 32 bits of 1 (equal to “-1”) – when they are injecting the noise, they are getting 01111…. (0 and 31 "1") which is invalid number according to the DS. During the test they probably miss some clocks at the SDFM clock input and then they see invalid Data in the DATA register, they expect to see the data register limited according to +/-SDFM_OSR^3. They use SDFM_OSR=64, according to data sheet the maximum value is +/-262144 - 64^3. They are solving it at the moment with SW workaround by putting mask on this register but they would like to avoid it because code complexity affects the delay of the current loop.
2. Additional question they had is that in page 1499 (figure 13.3) it is mentioned that, the counter register is going to be reset – in the table at page 1520, they see also that the reset will be implemented on the Data register – they wonder if it is true that the Data is also erased during this Reset – in fact, they see that the Data register is also resetting and they want to make sure that it is expected?
This issue is urgent for them and they have asked me to try to provide them answers by tomorrow.
Regards,
Meir.
