TMS320F28075: Control Card for TMS320F28075

Hi,

We want docking board and control card for TMS320F28075.

However, when I checked production page of F28075, status of these boards are "OBSOLETE" and lead to "TMDSxxxx28379D".

Actually, same peripherals are included in F28379D as well, however they can NOT use project file of F28075 directly to this.

So, could you please tell us why TI do NOT release TMDS version of control card and docking board for F28075 ?

    Hi Machida-san,

    Two main reasons:

    1. The F28379D appears as a superset of the F2807x family.  This means that customers interested in the F2807x can utilize the F28379D for evaluation.  The process of changing a project that works on the F28379D to the F2807x is not too challenging.  This is because the software ecosystems are similar. 
    2. Removing the F2807x controlCARD allowed us to better support the F2837xD controlCARD & updates to improve that card's performance.  It also provided inventory efficiencies.

    Please note, at this time, there is no plan to obsolete the F2807x family of C2000 devices.
