INSTASPINUNIVERSALGUI: Required Connection not found in the provided list

Part Number: INSTASPINUNIVERSALGUI

Hello,

I'm having an issue getting past page 12 step 5 in the "GUI Quick Start Guide" due to a connection issue. When I load the application the only connection option that looks remotely similar is "Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Debug Probe" and not the one the "GUI Quick Start Guide" Mentions, "Spectrum Digital XDS100v2 emulator". I can't seem to find a resolution to this and without this I can't progress with this user guide  or any of teh other provided material.

I'm also seeing an error presumably because of this previously mentioned issue. I have included screen shots below to better explain what I'm seeing. Any help would be VERY helpful.

Kas

I should also add that attempting to run the program under CCS produces an error as well. I have included a image of this below.

  • Hi Kas,

I believe the Connection name change is innocuous (and therefore isn't causing your issue).

    What EVM/HW are you using?

    Thank you,
    Brett

  • Hello Brett,

Thank you for your responce, I have resolved the issue, it was related to my power supply. I would like to point out however that these inconsistencies in the documentation do make getting a product up and running that much more complicated and leaves an undesirable taste. In this case I was not sure what teh issue was partly because I was looking for a specific connection that was not there.

    Sincerely

    Kas

  • Hi Kas,

I'm glad that you were able to resolve your question and get things working.

What document/hardware were you using?  This may help us to better know how to improve the process.

    Thank you,
    Brett
