LAUNCHXL-F28377S: Active additional EPWM

Hello,

The device contain total number of EPWM is 15, but the user guide mentioned only 5 EPWM [ EPWM2, EPWM3, EPWM6, EPWM7, EPWM8 ].

So how to active additional EPWM?

Hi Asim,

Which documents are you referring to for those numbers? F28377S has a total of 12 EPWMs and each has two channels. If you are using the LAUNCHXL-F28377S these will not all be available on the board which I think is what your question is asking.

Based on the schematic, it looks like it will have the following PWM channels available:

EPWM2A
EPWM2B
EPWM3A
EPWM6A
EPWM6B
EPWM7A
EPWM7B
EPWM8A
EPWM8B
EPWM9A
EPWM9B
EPWM10A
EPWM10B
EPWM11A
EPWM11B

Hello Kris,

I have seen the correct file of Table 1-4, their not mentioned the [EPWM9, EPWM10, EPWM11].

See my attachment, i have mark only those are present.

Hi Asim,

The table you are referencing is the correct pinout as shipped with the launchpad. The signals I was referencing were those which appeared in the schematic. By altering the board you may be able to gain access to additional PWMs.

Hello Kris,
EPWM9, EPWM10, EPWM11 is possible on same board at MUX value=5.

Is it possible to use EPWM1, EPWM3B, EPWM4, EPWM5, EPWM12, because I need another two PWM pin for my project???

It is not possible to use those PWMs with this board.
