Instapin FOC on TMS320F280049 sensor less for synchronous motor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE, MOTORWARE, CONTROLSUITE

Hello all,

we are starting a project where we want to control a synchronous motor using Instaspin FOC.

I m wondering if it is possible to perfom a sensor less control "out the box".

Should i look in the C2000ware?

The motor would be 10A to 30A, do you see there any limitation?

Is there any card to try this control on?

Thank you,

PA N.

  • There are two options for you, the first one is the open source reference code in controlSUITE, as the directory \controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV830x-HC-C2-KIT_v105\PM_Sensorless, this reference project is based on F2803x. You can refer to C2000ware to change the device configuration to F280049. The another one is motorWare, the current projects are based on F2802xF/F2805F/F2806F fixed point controller.
There are many device driver example projects for F280049 in c2000ware, you can use these codes as a foundation to develop the sensorless pmsm control project. And you can find the develop tools for F280049 as below link.
