TMS320F28027F: Can I use 28027F DIMM 100 base board with Docking-Stn USB-EMU R3 ?

Part Number: TMS320F28027F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28027, , TMDSCNCD28027, CONTROLSUITE

I am planning on buying http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdscncd28027f which has TMS320F28027F on it. I checked the datasheets and it is pin compatible with TMS320F28027  with only difference being the FOC block in ROM.

Although I am 90% sure, I just need confirmation that the control CARD will work with 100 pin base station and I can program/debug it.

(Docking-Stn USB-EMU R3 which works with  TMDSCNCD28027 (TMS320F28027 control CARD))

I was not able to find controller to 100 pin connector mapping schematic for the control CARD. As the two ICs differ only in software, is it safe to assume that the control CARD mapping is

exactly identical ?

  • Satar,

the 28027 and 28027F controlCARDs should be identical other than the instaSPIN ROM that is included on the "F" device. You should have no issues with debugging or running.

The controlCARD you mentioned is compatible with the docking station you mentioned. The pin mapping from the controlCARD to the docking station can be found in controlSUITE(C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\~controlCARDs\CC2802xHWdevPkg\cC2802x-DIMM Pin-out table.pdf)

NOTE: You can buy a bundle that has both a docking station and a controlCARD if you want(http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdsdock28027)

    Regards,
