TMS320F28377D: Whether CPU2 can be assigned to access HRPWM?

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Hi Champs,

I have a question about whether HRPWM can be accessed by CPU2.

From Datasheet(SPRS880I), the answer is no. From the following screenshot, HRPWM is not connected to CPU2's bus.

From TRM(SPRUHM8G), HRPWM is connected to CPU2's peripheral frame2.

Would you kindly help to clarify whether CPU2 can be assigned to access HRPWM?

Thanks.

Regards,

Young

  • Young,

I just wanted to let you know that I am looking into this, but can't seem to find a clear answer at this moment. I will get back with you first thing tomorrow with solid yes or no.

  • Young,

The ePWM and HRPWM capability are tightly integrated, this is why you see them in the same mux on the CPU assignment diagram.

The HRPWM feature of ePWM has several usage restrictions with respect to CPU assignment (SFO can only be performed by CPU1, ePWM1 must be assigned to CPU1 due to SFO requirements, HRCFG and HRCFG2 can only be written by CPU1).  For these reasons we recommend only using HRPWM on CPU1.

    Best regards,

    Jason
