TMS320F28027: programming issue

Alberto,
I believe that the Device Type is incorrect; is should be FT2232D(not C as shown). You also will have to erase the FTDI before programming it again(folder with the "X" in between the magnifying glass and lightning bolt). After these are corrected you should be able to program FTDI chip per the instructions.

Let me know if there are more issues.

thanks for the response. The customer tried this and responded as follows:

I can’t change the Device Type. I might need a EEPROM program template file (.ept) specifically for the FT2230D chip.

The template that I’m using was download from an old thread. (https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/21086

Please try the attached .ept file(inside the ZIP).  Keep in mind you still need to execute the erase command before trying to program this.

Hi Matt,

the customer found there is something on his board that is preventing programming:

He wasn't able to program the FDTI chip but idenfied the fault is on his circuit (he successfully programmed TI’s eval board).

What circuitry on the JTAG schematic could cause the FDTI chip to yield “Error reading device”?
