TMS320F28065: any code example on using TLV5630

Hi Carlo,

The interface is on SPI, you can start with SPI example from C2000ware:
C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_05_00\device_support\f2806x\examples\c28\spi_loopback

I doubt on the availability of a 'Direct' example.

No, we unfortunately don't have an example code on using TLV5630. But, the example codes in C2000Ware can be modified to work with TLV5630.

No, SPICLK is ON only when data is transmitted (or) received? Why do you want it always ON? What are you trying to do?

I need a 17th clock edge :
for TLV5630 there is an old post I think summarizes things best visually:

Basically the updates to occurs on a 17th rising clock edge . One way to get this done is straight forward and issuing another clock. The other approach is to modify the clock phase and polarity setting such that SCLK idles high where one would get another rising edge while only issuing 16 SPI clock cycles.

please how can I make it working using the SPI example in C2000ware ? any suggestion ?

I just looked at the datasheet for the tlv and it looks like you actually only need the standard 16 clocks. The way to go is to have clk be low in idle, and data to be latched in falling edge. This corresponds to mode 0, 0. The 17th clock is not doing anything. The tlv device listens for when you pull the chip select high to complete the transaction.

Please review TRM page 850 and TLV datasheet page 9 and 10
