CCS/TMS320F28069: MOTORWARE

Part Number: TMS320F28069
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear All

I have a problem when I build my project in CCS.

I use TMS320F28069 which have a CLA co processor. In the debug window I see that CLA core isn't connected as mentioned in below PIC.

Please guide me what I should to do?

Main core C28xx is Connected :

Wish you All the best.

Rasool

  • Hi Rasool,

Please confirm if you have tried to : Right click on the CLA item (the one you've highlighted in Red) and click on 'Connect Target'.

  • Hi Sudhakar,

Thank you for your response. I did it and it Connected, but another error (no symbols are defined for "0x9000" ) mentioned by software.

In the console window write: "CLA_0: Can't Run Target CPU: (Error -2060 @ 0x0) Requested operation cannot be done while device is running. Halt the device, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 6.0.407.3)" when i resume the code.

Should i define a gel file for this CLA_0 when i adjusting project setup?

unfortunately, I don't have any gel file for this co processor.

This is one PIC of my project:

  • Rasool,

Looking at motorware lab 3, I'm not certain that the CLA is used in this example(I don't see any .cla files or reference in the lab docs).  In this case there's no need to have a concern about this message from CCS, you can leave the CLA un-connected in the CCS dialogue.

If you are trying to add CLA functionaliity to this example, you would need to load a seperate .out file that was built for the CLA from a different project.

    Best,

    Matthew

  • Rasool,

I split your question specific to Motorware labs into a new one here: e2e.ti.com/.../741598
