DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT: InstaSPIN_FOC_F2806xM, Project 1C (fixed frequency & closed current loop)

Part Number: DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT

Hey,

I am looking for some help with with the "Universal GUI" and "project 1C". I am trying to set a fixed frequency and current. I am able to set the frequency by "Speed_Ref_RPM", but i don't see an Option to set the current. Changing the values from "RsOnlineCurrent_A";" Iq_Ref_A"; "Id_Ref_A" has no effect.

Thanks in advanc Paul

  • Hi Paul

Lab1c is not compatible with the Universal GUI. Since you are using a known EVM, it is not recommended to use labs 1b or 1c as they are intended to verify correct hardware operation. We would recommend you move on to motor identification in lab2b

  • Thank you for the response.
I changed the whole power electronics and gate driver to work with higher current and voltage. That's the reason why i am trying to verify with lab1c.
I successfully used lab2a and lab4a with Universal GUI, but they don't give me the possibility to check the hardware response with fixed frequency and closed current loop.
Is there a chance to run lab1c and "GUI" or an other way to work with 1C?
  • We would recommend in this case that you run labs 1b and 1c from CCS, and interact with the expressions window to set and monitor the associated parameters.
