1. I think it is possible to remove the RSTC toggle switch and DSP pin apply 3.3V directly to drv RESETA pin. Is this right?
2. When is normal op applied? Is normal op necessary?
3. I think it is possible to remove the M1 and drv M1 pin connect AGND. Is this right?

4. I have seen drv8312 evm HW guide. The guidebook says as follows:

Mode jumper "M1" - DRV8312 mode can be set to select between cycle by cycle current limit or latched overcurrent.

What's "latched overcurrent" here?

These switches are just used for multiple functions depends on the customer's requirement, you can remove some switches per your requirement. Please refer to DRV8312 datasheet that has more description on your questions, or you can follow the EVM board to design your own if you want.

The guidebook says as follows:
M1 is in the "H" position.

1. If M1 is "H" position, I wonder if M1 is connected to AGND or VREG.

2. I read the datasheet and guide. but i don't know. When is normal op applied?

1. If it is in H position, pins 1 and 2 are connected, it connects M1 to VREG.
2. Can you explain "normal op"?

"Normal OP mode will disable control from the MCU and enable the half bridge outputs."

What does this mean? Is this necessary?

Kwan,

Thanks for the information. This is not needed. The switch allows the user of the EVM to force the phases to be held in RESET, ENABLED, or connected to the MCU for control by GPIO.

You can simply tie these to VREG if you are not using the reset feature or connect them directly to your MCU.
