Hi,

I recently noticed the CAN flash kernel in C2000ware and also saw a brief thread on it

We would need to setup a test to duplicate the functionality. Which F28069M based HW was used to validate the CAN flash kernel?

Which additional CAN HW was used on the Host side to get a CAN interface?

Similar to the SCI boot flashing, is there a Host side application available to test with?

For the MCU side we used an internal test board with a PCAN connector. On the PC side we used a USB to CAN dongle. I am working to get additional information on which which specific dongle.

The serial programmers for the PC can be found in C2000Ware: C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware<version>\utilities\flash_programmers

Using the USB to CAN dongle enabled reuse of the USB programmer.

Gunter,

The CAN boot loader and flash kernel are very similar. The kernel is basically the boot loader equipped with the flash API.

However you have loaded code to RAM as the device runs the bootloader is the same way you can load the kernel and then communicate with the kernel.

You are free to use whatever Host tool and Host interface you wish.

Also, the kernel source is provided so you can view it and modify it for your needs.
