TMS320F280045: FCL supporting on devices without CLA

Hi team,

My customer hopes to know whether we can support FCL on devices with CLA.

For example, on F280049, the control loop calculation time is about 1.6us. Let's assuming the the time consumption is 3-4us on F280045 without CLA, it is also acceptable for appliations with 10kHz switching frequency(max PWM du ity cycle>95%). Thus, my question is can we support FCL on F28004x without CLA and future devices? Can customer transplant the code to a non-cla devices by themselves?

    Yes, not using CLA will add some additional time that will reduce the max mod index. Also, the F28004x devices have a lower clock frequency, and that may add further more time than not having CLA. Well, it should be ok for certain applications. The code can be reused on F28004x
