TIEVM-HV-1PH-DCAC: Controller for TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC in a 50 Hz grid connected mode

Dear Team,

Hope you are doing well. I extremely need your kind help. I am working with TIEVM-HV-1PH-DCAC as a grid connected inverter. The device has been set up for 60 Hz, 110 Vrms and 380 Vdc by default and it probably works. However, I need to operate the inverter in 50 Hz. I have tried a lot to design a suitable controller for this case (based on the fact that I cannot change the LCL filter). However, due to the effect of active damping of inverter (notch filter at filter's resonant frequency), I could not design a suitable controller. is there any default controller for 50 Hz for any rated power and input output voltage? If yes, How can I have it?

  • you should be able to change the freq by changing the parameter above in the CFG page.

  • Many thanks for your kind answer dear Manish. I know that it is easily possible to change the frequency but it is not my problem. I need a suitable controller for the inverter for the case that frequency is 50 Hz. In fact, the default current controller as well as the LCL filter are designed based on 60 Hz. According to the fact that we cannot change the filter here, it is needed to design a new current controller. However, due to the active damping used in the inverter (notch filter for attenuation of resonant peak of LCL filter), it is very hard to design a suitable controller to keep the current desirably (the controller as the manual should be a PI + various PRs times to a lead one). I was wondering if there is a default suitable controller for that purpose).

  • You can definitely desig your own, 

    Everything self tunes on the software though, here below are snaophot of 50-60Hz, you may have to fine tune for best performance.
