F28M36P53C2: About the on-chip flash setup

Genius 3095 points

Dear team:

In the On-chip flash setup interface of F28M36, The default OSCCLK frequency of cores M and C28 are 20MHz, 2 divide and 12 multiplier. That is 120MHz SYSCLK.

But the main frequency of my chip is set to: 75MHz of core M and 150MHz of core C28(2 divide and 10 multiplier). external crystal is 30MHz. My question is:

When load program into flash, Should I use the default on-chip flash setting? Or how should I set it? Because it has two cores, I don't know how to set it up.

I'm not familiar with this chip at the beginning. Please give me more instructions.

Best regards

  • Hi FF,

This 'On-Chip Flash' setup window is only for configuring the device for programming/erasing when using CCS. That is what the device settings will be configured to when CCS erases and programs the device.

Your actual F28M36x software will likely configure the device's clocking differently when it runs its initialization, so you shouldn't need to worry about these settings being different.

Please see section 1.8 'Clock Control' of the F2836x User's Guide for more information on the clocking scheme:
