Hi all,

I have a LAUNCHXL-F28379D board (with TMS320F28379D chip) and I want to use ADC module , but I don't know there is VREFHI ( VREFLO) IC for voltage reference on the board or not .

1- Should I use voltage reference externally ???? ( if your answer is yes please introduce a good IC)

2- where should explain ICs on the LAUNCHXL-F28379D ??? ( I read the datasheet of TMS320F28379D but I don't know where there was information about LAUNCHXL-F28379D .)

    The F2837x devices only support external VREF, which is connected to the on-board voltage reference chip (U13) on the LaunchPad itself.

    You can find the schematic for the LaunchPad in C2000WARE (general directory below),

    C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_x\boards\LaunchPads\LAUNCHXL_F28379D

    In the schematic you will find that VREF is supplied from U13 and then buffered through U11 (feeds to VREFHIA/C) and U19 (feeds to VREFHIB/D).

    Your answer resolved my problem.

    But I have some new question. 

    1- What difference between R2.0 and R1.1 folder in C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_x\boards\LaunchPads\LAUNCHXL_F28379D ???

    2- VREFHIA = VREFHIC and VREFHIB = VREFHID ???? ( If your answer is yes , how to change VREFHIC or VREFHID without change on VREFHIA (or VREFHIB) ??)

    3- Could I change VREFLOA,B,C,D  or not ????

    The user guide for the launchPad (found here) has a section titled 'Revisions' that outlines all of the differences between the two revisions. Please reference the folder that corresponds to the revision number of your launchPad.

    The answer to this is yes. There is no way to change VREFHIC without changing VREFHIA since they are connected by a trace on the launchpad unless you break the trace on the launchPad (same applies to VREFHID/VREFHIB).

    VREFLOA/B/C/D are also all connected by traces, so the same answer as in question 2 applies.
