CCS/LAUNCHXL-F28027: How to set Sampling rate or sampling frequency in F28027

If you take another look at the adc_soc (\device_support\f2802x\examples\structs\adc_soc) example in C2000Ware, you will notice that the ADC is periodically triggered by the EPWM. Therefore, the EPWM is determining the sampling rate in this configuration.

You may find this old F2802x Workshop to be useful for ramping up on the device.  You can also find all the relevant features documented in the Technical Reference Manual (TRM).

The EPWM behaves like a tick counter that repeats every TBPRD counts and CMPA determines when the ADC trigger is generated within each EPWM cycle.  So the sampling rate is effectively TBPRD ticks.

I encourage you to reference the TRM and workshop for background on how the EPWM works.
