Compiler/TMS320F28377D: CGT 19.6.0.STS dies with "INTERNAL ERROR: register allocation failed"

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

I have been using v18.12.2.LTS successfully to compile my code.
When I changed my project to use v19.6.0.STS, the compilation of one file died with "INTERNAL ERROR: register allocation failed".

Is this a known problem? Is there a log file that I could send that might help?
