Sorry, I don't fully understand your question. A DC power supply is necessary for the EMV kits to spin the motor, the related F28069M controlCard needs to be used with the DRV8301-69M kit also like the below link.

Of course, you might have an oscilloscope, a multimeter...that should be useful in any development.
