C2000-F28004X-POWER-EST-CALC: Cost sensitive DSP for digital power solution

Dear experts,

My customer is looking for a digital power solution, 2KW DC-DC, Boost + PSFB, the requirements are as follows:
          1) At present, two DSP controls are considered.
           2) The DSP chip does not need CAN, and serial communication is provided.
           3) Boost: 3 ADC samples + 1 PWM. PSFB: 4 ADC samples + 4 pairs (8 channels) of PWM have synchronous rectification.
           4) The working temperature needs to be: 105 ° C.
          

Customer is cost sensitive, please help to recommend DSP devices. Thanks! 

  • Hi Minqi,

    Based on the requirement on your list, F28002x 48 pin package should have sufficient resource. Please confirm with customer whether additional ADC (temp etc.) or digital IO are needed and compare with the F28002x datasheet.

    For both MIPS and IO, we believe the system can easily be controlled with one MCU. Can you please suggest why customer want to do two MCU given they are cost sensitive?

    Sorry about my delay. Now they chose F28021. The reason why they need 2 MCUs is they need two stage isolated, and the isolated sampling cost is high. Therefore they choose 2 devices.
