TMS320F28377D-EP: Known use in aerospace applications

Part Number: TMS320F28377D-EP

Team-

Does TI know if TMS320F28377D-EP, TMS320F28388 or variants thereof have been designed into any high-reliability or military aerospace applications?  Don't need to know specifics, just "yes" or "no".

Please feel free to email me for additional details.

The purpose of this question is to help the quality and doc control specialists at one of our customers in evaluating the pedigree of this device for aerospace related applications.  We have provided them with our safety manuals, etc... already.

Thanks, Best, Steve

  • Steve,

I need to check internally with the marketing/sales team on what we are able to share in this regard.  I'll be looking into the TMS320F28377D-EP, the TMS320F28388 is not yet released to full production and is industrial grade only.

    Best,
    Matthew

  • Steve,

-HT and -EP parts are specifically released for high-temp or enhanced packaging applications. This is typically mil, space, aero, or specialty like down hole drilling

regular C2000 devices/packaging are for automotive and industrial grade applications.

  • Chris-

Understood; I know in general that's what these Enhanced Products are for.

Do we know of any specific applications in the aerospace arena?  Again, not looking for details, etc... just "yes, they've been flown before" or otherwise.  Feel free to shoot me an email if that seems more appropriate.

By any chance are there plans for -EP version of '320F28388?

    Thanks, Best, Steve

  • I can't confirm they have flown. This business was previously owned by an entirely different group. The 377-EP is relatively new and volume is just starting.

I can confirm "it's flown" for the F28335 HT versions (and many standard packaged C2000).

We do not currently plan additional EP or HT C2000 devices.
