TMS320F28378S: Interfacing with parallel CMOS interface

Part Number: TMS320F28378S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5232

Hello Guys,

We have a customer who wants to interface ADS5232 (12-bit ADC) to TMS320F28378S.

The output from the ADC is 12 bits at a time and he was wondering on the microcontroller, the GPIO canks seem to be in groups of 8 so he wanted to clarify if 8 bits from the ADC go into one bank and the rest go into the other. Will this be an issue when gathering data from the ADC on the TMS320F28378S?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

Every individual GPIO is separate so not sure what do you mean by groups of 8 here. GPIO data register has 32 GPIO data so one can read 32bit at a time so it should not be an issue.

  • Hi Vivek,

    Thanks for confirming this!

I'll inform you for any further inquiries, but for now I will set the ticket to resolved.
