TMS320F2811: TMS320F2811PBKA CG- 98A failure

Part Number: TMS320F2811

We are facing programming error the TMS320F2811PBKA part with the body marking of CG-98A ( image is attached)

 1) we replaced the part with new material having date code-CG-99A & programming got passed.

2)when passed (OK board) replaced with CG-98A date code material board got failed with the error as shown below

So we are suspecting the batch code failure of 98A . 50# failure we found with the material having 98A batch code.

XDS100V3 emulation kit we are using.

We raised the claim in TI portal but it got rejected saying that issue with simulator. But if the issue is with simulator why other date code materials are getting passed in programming? why only materials with 98A date code are failing?

Kindly help me to resolve this.

  • Vaibhavi,

Please take a look at our customer returns webpage for instructions on how to return suspected defective devices to TI.  If you have procured the devices from an authorized TI distributor you will need to work with them to return the devices.  If these were bought from the TI Store you'll see a couple links on the above page on how to initiate a return of suspected defective devices.

I'm not sure why the claim was rejected, please let me know if you run into further issues on the above and I will try and help route to the right place.

    Best,
    Matthew
