TMS320F28035: Usage of PWM ports with different frequency.

Part Number: TMS320F28035

Hi,

I am going to  use microcontroller TMS320F28035PN for my project. It is used for interleaved power factor correction(IPFC) and battery charger application. In IPFC for generation of gate pules to Boost mosfets. In Battery charger, for driving the gates of  full bridge MOSFETs.

My question is,

I am going to work IPFC with 100kHz switching frequency for gate driver(EPWM4A and EPWM4B--complimentory). At the same time controller need to generate 50kHz pulses in another pair of PWM ports for Battery charger(EPWM1A and EPWM1B--complimentory).

So can this is possible?

With regards

Skanda

  • Hi Skanda,

From the EPWM resource and configuration point of view, this is doable. I think there might be other concern like the CPU bandwidth. But this depends on your specific application(control freq, etc). So you might need to do some estimation on that part.

    Regards,
