Dear Sir, 

we are devloping Controller based on 28376S Chip , and want to make use of the eQEP for supporting incremental quadrature encoder .

i have reveiew the related example for better understand , but have some question,

1. is there option to latch QPOSCNT by internal trigger (for exampe ADC EOC / ePWM SOCA or SOCB) ?

2.is there option to latch QPOSCNT by any of the INPUTXBAR ?

3.Does the DMA has Access to QPOSCNT  , in the refernce manual Chapther 5.2.1 , it look like the DMA has access to eQEP but in chapter 5.2.2 it is mention DMA doesnt has acess 

  can you clarify ?

    Hi,

    Please find answers to your questions:

    1. No, we do not have internal trigger to latch on ADC/ePWM event. This functionality is available on our newer devices TMS320F2838xS

    2. QPOSCNT can be latched on Index or Strobe event, both of these signals are not available on INPUTXBAR, but you can use GPIOMUX to latch QPOSCNT.

    3. No, eQEP is not mapped to DMA channel. Are you referring to the latest reference manual?
