TMS320F28388D: SDRAM inquiries

Hi sir,

A customer have the inquiries below.

1. Does the EMIF2 CS0N of TMS320F28388D support the External of 32M SDRAM?

2. If possible, how to connect the hardware? I want to use the SDRAM of MT48LC16M16A2P。

3. Another one question is to expand NOR FLASH MT28FW02GBBA1HPC through EMIF1  CS0N, How to connect the hardware?

    Hi,

     1. Does the EMIF2 CS0N of TMS320F28388D support the External of 32M SDRAM?

    Yes. This is mentioned in device datasheet (Table title "EMIF Chip Select Memory Map"). Any specific reason you asked this query.

     2. If possible, how to connect the hardware? I want to use the SDRAM of MT48LC16M16A2P。

    Please refer this appnote for more detail on this.

    Yes, it can be done but via ASYNC interface (CS2/CS3) and not via CS0. Generally this is generic interface which can be used so we do not have any additional document for this. If you have any specific query on this, please let us know and we'll try to answer.
