we don't typically publicly share older versions. it's surprising/concerning that it doesn't work with v16. I would guess it's something simple like an issue with your user.h file.

We are working with a remote partner to tune motor parameters of a new motor, my partner is using 1.01.00.13 while we are using 1.01.00.16. We both based on lab03a sample project, with the same motor parameters, same hardware (TI's DRV8301 + F28027F lanuch pad), my partner can run motor at much higher speed, but we cannot when using 1.01.00.16, so we hope to obtain motorware 1.01.00.13 trying to align the platform.
By the way, is compiler an issue too ? My partner is using C2000 v6.4.2, while we are using C2000 v6.4.6, it is a matter ?

If possible, please also online motorware 1.01.00.15, so that we can work with our partner easily, many thanks.

I would suspect this has to do with the modulation value in user.h
In previous versions the default was set to the maximum (either 1.33 or 0.66 when we changed the format) in user.h

in v16 it is set to the maximum for use with the standard SVGEN (0.5)

You should not go over 0.5 unless you are using the overmodulation SVGENCURRENT in proj_lab10
I also have a problem with you only using proj_lab03. This doesn't even allow you to change the speed controller gains (which is necessary to maximize performance). I would suggest you base your code on proj_lab10

Yes, we plan to migrate to proj_lab10 once the current platform get stabled, even not optimized.

I think your problem is in using C2000 v6.4.6, because I also met a problem when using this version when compiling the code. My problem is resolved when I changed to other higher compiler.

In our case, changing compiler version not helpful
Our firmware is modified from mw14 proj_lab03b, we found that when driving a new motor, it's maximium speed is much lower than specified, around 10% lower.
After then, we tried the same motor using proj_lab03b from mw13, 14, 15 and 16. We finally found that only mw13 and mw15 can drive upto 5200rpm, while mw14 and mw16 can hardly drive upto 4200rpm, we do wonder this inconsistancy among different versions

I'd be interested to know if you find anything. Nothing changed between the versions when using lab03b that should make any difference.

Compiler seems make not difference in this case. Now we migrate to mw15 prj_lab03b, a specific motor's highest speed problem solved, but seems another motor become unstable

I notice you are using proj_lab03. This lab doesn't allow access to the controller tuning so you are obviously using the default settings for the speed controller which aren't tuned. it could be as simple as tuning the controller...though you should have the same default settings for this controller between MotorWare versions so it doesn't really explain any discrepancies.

I still haven't been able to duplicate this issue...are you sure you don't have a setting different somewhere? Have you done a DIFF compare on the user.h file used for each version?
