TMS320F28379S: SYNCSELECT Register Lock bit set always

Hi,

I am trying to synchronize my ECAP1 and ECAP 4 with the EPWM4 syncout pulse.

Whatever i try to write in the SYNCSELECT register is not reflected in the SFR register. I think this is because of the SYNCSELECT Register Lock bit is set always.
I am using TMS320F28379D launch pad with c2000 SDK, can i know any functions available to unlock the bit? or i can directly clear the bit?

Hi Manohar,

The bit of the Sync Select register are by default zero. Are you seeing it set after after you reload?

Yes, its getting set once i load the program.

i am calling the below function before the SYNCSELECT Register Lock bit is getting set,
SysCtl_setSyncInputConfig(SYSCTL_SYNC_IN_ECAP1, SYSCTL_SYNC_IN_SRC_EPWM4SYNCOUT);

But still this data is not getting updated to SYNCSELECT register.

Is there any configuration or enabling i am missing to call this function to get reflected in the Special function registers.

Hi Manohar,

The lock bit once set can only be reset by system reset. Are you doing a system reset before the load?
