Hello,
customer want to use the a project from the C2000 motorware. He import the project. He got following error message when compiling:
"Function '__IQmpy' could not be reosolved"

He uses CCS 8.3.

Holger,

Can you give me details on which project(s) within Motorware results in this error? Is the motorware version 1_01_00_18?

yes, they use 1_01_00_18 and lab9.

Holger,

Both lab9 and lab9a built on my CCS (v8.2 and compiler v18.1.3LTS). Which compiler does v8.3 use? I presume this is a simple "install Motorware and import and build lab project" that is resulting in these problems? Motorware inherently uses an older compiler, but CCS will replace it with the new one since it doesn't have the old one.

please find a screenshot of the error attached. Customer said that he copied the motorware from another PC. May be some path was lost. Also it is strange that an .out file was generated.

Yes, indeed strange that an .out was generated but errors as well. See my build output, the difference seems to be the additional Header linker command file for the device that's getting included. Not sure why, or whether that's related.

Please suggest to them to do a clean build - download and install and build. Copying definitely isn't a good idea.

removen the 2nd .cmd file didn't solve the problem. What lib is needed for the __IQmpy?

_IQmpy is included as part of IQMath.lib.

he changed back from CCS8.3 to CCS8.2 and the problem vanished.

Holger,

Based on the link below, the C2000 compiler was updated from v18.1.3 LTS to v18.1.4 LTS from CCS v8.2 to CCS v8.3. Not sure how this may have impacted the issue above.

Would it be helpful for me to check if Motorware builds on CCSv8.3?

Also, is the customer planning on migrating to MotorControl SDK (1Q 2019 release)?

I tried the compilers but no differences. It worked on my PC.

Hello Sira,
now another customer told me that he had problems with CCS8.3 that the variables will not be detected. There is something not ok within this version.
After some research, I found an e2e thread:
